Course Description

The CCNA certification validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks. CCNA certified professionals have the knowledge and skills to make connections to remote sites via a WAN, mitigate basic security threats, and understand the requirements for wireless network access. CCNA training covers (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2), VLANs, Ethernet, and access control lists (ACLs).

Course Outlines

•  Module 1 : Describe how a network works
• Module 2 : Configure, verify and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and inter-switch communications
• Module 3 : Implement an IP addressing scheme and IP Services to meet network requirements in a medium size Enterprise branch office network
• Module 4 : Configure, verify, and troubleshoot basic router operation and routing on Cisco devices
• Module 5 : Explain and select the appropriate administrative tasks required for a WLAN
• Module 6 : Identify security threats to a network and describe general methods to mitigate those threats
• Module 7 : Implement, verify and troubleshoot NAT and ACLs in a medium size Enterprise branch office network
• Module 8 : Implement and verify WAN links

Certification

The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam 640-802 will be conducted on the last day of training. Students need to pass the online Pearson Vue exam to receive CCNA certification.
